Kailua: Hawaii's best kept secret

I started this company because of my love for coffee and my love of Hawaii! Growing up my family and I enjoyed our vacations on Oahu–but that was such a small coverlet to the remarkable beauty of what Hawaii really has to offer. In fact-Waikiki is your typical tourist town and ultimately has the same appeal of any other beach town. Don’t get me wrong. Waikiki will always have my heart-my cousins and I had the amazing opportunity to live there for a few years while we attended Hawaii Pacific University, and if you’re planning a trip, it lands nowhere short of a fantastic vacation! But our journey and passion takes us to the other side of the Ko’olau mountains…shout out to Kailua!-best known for its iconic beaches, charming community, and the place you never want to leave: Oahus best kept secret!

If you’re looking to travel to Oahu anytime soon, I would 100% recommend you book an Airbnb in Kailua and here’s why: Kailua is a small vibrant community with a pleasurable mix of locals and transplants. If you’re looking for a true “Hawaii” experience you’ll find it here. Kailua is nestled on the Winward side. Kailua beach has actually been awarded the best beach in the world! Here you’ll find locals ride bikes, enjoy shopping, sipping on a cup of Kona outside the local coffee shops, walking their dogs, strolling local markets, renting surfboards for the day and simply living the laid-back island Dream! Everyone is, Kama’aina in Kailua!

It truly is a quintessential beach town with two gorgeous beaches, Kailua Beach and my favorite Lanikai Beach. In fact, if you’re looking for the perfect Hawaiian sunrise check out Lanikai-it’s never crowded but the only parking available is in the adjacent neighborhood so be sure to arrive early. You’ll find very few public beach access points, but you won’t be short of awestruck – the sand is pristine like powder, most of the bay is shallow (less than 25 feet deep), so it’s perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and most mornings you’ll find the locals out walking their dogs and enjoying a cup of “Kona coffee” as the sun quickly rises over the gentle tide.

Kailua is also known for its gorgeous hiking trails as its backdrop salutes the lush soaring Ka’iwa Ridge. Recently Kailua is becoming more of a popular destination and although it certainly proceeds its reputation Kailua is a beautiful town with beautiful people-let’s keep the secret! ;)

-stay blessed, stay aloha!
